What are the ages For the camp?

All ages welcome, but most campers are in high school, college or recently graduated and are interested in pursuing a career in journalism and broadcasting. Or if you have an interest in starting your own YouTube Chanel and podcast then Camp Broadcast® is for you! 

Who is the lead instructor?

Camp Broadcast® Founder Sam Alex will be leading all sessions this summer. He is a Chicago native and a nationally syndicated radio and television personality,

Sam Alex & Dolly Dolly Parton

Camp Broadcast® Director Sam Alex is a radio and television personality, producer, speaker, emcee, podcaster and entrepreneur. He is the Creator, Executive Producer and host of the CMA & ACM nominated nationally syndicated radio program “The Sam Alex Show”, the ultimate on-air backstage pass to Nashville’s biggest stars weekday evenings. Sam’s interviews have received coverage from numerous media outlets including Variety,  Entertainment Tonight, E! News, PEOPLE, USA Today, Forbes, The Today Show, ABC News, Yahoo News, Sports Illustrated, MSN, Access Hollywood, LA Times, Time and Newsweek. 


He is also a special correspondent for the syndicated entertainment news magazine television show Celebrity Page seen on Reelz Channel and over 150 TV affiliates, including ABC in New York, CBS in Los Angeles and WCIU in Chicago.


Sam appeared as himself in an episode of ABC-TV’s Nashville. He is an ambassador for Get Caught Reading, a nationwide campaign to remind people of how much fun it is to read. He is a graduate of Illinois State University and in 2019 received their Outstanding Young Alumni Award.
